The e-bike charging station in Krnica is equipped with four stands featuring “Schuko” sockets for connecting any of four types of bicycle-charging adapters, two USB ports for charging mobile phones, a compressor for inflating tyres, and a “service point” with basic tools for fixing minor bicycle issues. The design and installation were carried out by the company UTE d.o.o.
The main goal of the CYROS project is to map out the Adriatic–Ionian cycling route, which will connect destinations along the coast and encourage the development of active tourism. The installed e-bike charging station and service point contribute to sustainable mobility, reducing CO₂ emissions, and promoting environmentally friendly modes of travel for visitors and residents. The project also strengthens cross-border cooperation, encourages the valorisation of natural and cultural heritage, and supports the sustainable development of local communities by providing a safer and higher-quality experience for cyclists and nature lovers.
