We present to you “Santa’s House” – a fun holiday program for the whole family. Over the course of two evenings, at the location near the kindergarten in Marčana, expect a magical Christmas program with a handful of attractions and shows, for adults and children, with live music by Duo Gold and Two Acoustic, hot tea, mulled wine and fritters in a heated tent, with an appropriately decorated photo corner / scene for creating the most beautiful memories with professional photographer Valter Zanc. There is also a train ride through Marčana, as well as a sales and exhibition offer of local artisans with gift ideas. BIKE RIDE ON TRAIL 341 FLANATICA - December 17 at 11 a.m. ACCOMPANIMENT BIKE GUIDE BK AXA
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you on Sunday, December 17, in Marčana, to a medium-difficult bike ride along the 341 Flanatica trail (35 km) accompanied by a BK AXA bike guide from Režanci.
The starting point and meeting point is at 11 a.m. in front of the TZO Marčana office (next to the post office and coffee bar), where there is also a parking lot for those coming with vehicles. Bicycle path 341 Flanatica is a medium-difficult circular path 35 km long that can be covered in about three and a half hours. The track is not suitable for amateur cyclists.
The trail starts from Marčana towards Krnica, descends to Rakalj, continues to Uvala Blaz and then back through Belavići, Hreljići, Prodol again to Marčana. More detailed description of the trail at https://tzmarcana.com/341flanatica/. The refreshment station will be in Rakalj, about half way.
Participation is free, pre-registration is mandatory at info@tzmarcana.com or at 052 / 823 696, no later than Friday, December 15 at 12 noon. Participants are asked to arrive on time and to wear a helmet. DVD Marčana will take care of cycling safety.

EASY FAMILY CYCLE RIDE ON ROUTE 342 DIVŠIĆI - November 12 at 11 a.m. ACCOMPANYING BIKE GUIDE SERĐO PERUŠKO.
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you this Sunday, November 12, to Divšići for a recreational family bike ride along the 342 Divšići trail (8 km) accompanied by bike guide Serđo Peruško.
The starting point and gathering is at 11 a.m. at playground of the school in Divšići, where there is also a parking lot for those who come with vehicles. Bicycle path 342 Divšići is an easy circular path 8 km long that can be covered in about 75 minutes. It is suitable for the whole family. It goes from Divšići in the east direction towards Filipana. When leaving the village, turn right, slightly downhill. It continues gently downhill to the left. At the crossroads for Šarići, drive to the right. At the Y intersection, turn right onto gravel. At the dirt road intersection, drive straight west. Then it goes to the intersection with the main road Vodnjan – Barban, then turns right on the asphalt into the hill and returns to Divšići.

SMALL RUNNING SCHOOL WITH MLADENKA BUIĆ - GRŽETA
On Saturday 14.10. at 10 a.m. there will be a small running school with Mladenka Buić – Gržeta. The starting point and meeting point will be in Marčana, 500 m from the turn towards Vodnjan on the Pula – Labin road. Running takes place in trail form (macadam and forest roads). The run will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes. The path will pass along the former blockhouse where blocks for building houses were once built, ahead we come to the Marčana Equestrian Club, followed by Gržinivi and Perešinovi dvori and all the way to the field where fruit is grown. GUIDED VISIT TO MATE BALOTA'S BIRTHHOUSE IN RAKALJ - September 28 at 6 p.m. CELEBRATING THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF MIJO MIRKOVIĆ
In honor of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Mijo Mirković (September 28, 1898-February 17, 1963), an important Croatian academic, scientist, economist, sociologist, historian, writer and journalist known under the pseudonym Mate Balota, the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you to Rakalj to free guided tour of his birthplace with a memorial collection.
The gathering of visitors is at the square in Rakalj at 6 p.m. The gathered will be welcomed by Luka Faraguna, an employer of TZO Marčana, who will take them to the nearby birthplace of Mijo Mirković, take them through the gallery display of the memorial collection, and finally escort them to his grave at the local cemetery in Rakalj. The expected duration of the tour is about an hour. The students of Vladimir Nazor Elementary School from Krnica will brighten up the commemoration with appropriate performances: Tea Percan and Nikola Sučić will play the cornets, and Roko Vlačić will read a couple of verses.
The event is organized by the TZO Marčana in cooperation with Vladimir Nazor Primary School from Krnica and the Municipality of Marčana. Pre-registration is not required.

INTERPRETATIVE WALK IN MUTVORAN
INTERPRETATIVE WALK IN MUTVORAN, October 1 at 4 p.m. CELEBRATION OF WORLD TOURISM DAY The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you to a free Interpretive Walk in Mutvoran on Sunday, October 1 at 4 p.m. World Tourism Day is celebrated by interpreting the heritage and rich history of the small village of Mutvoran, the oldest inhabited fortress in Pula. The story, performed by Istra Inspirit and KUD Mate Balota from Rakalj, begins with a gathering of visitors at the lodge, at the entrance to Mutvoran, with a presentation of the bestiary. Once a historical stronghold of Histra, Mutvoran is still adorned with a part of the old walls with triple gates. The Church of St. Mary Magdalena preserves a valuable wooden altar, the only one of its kind in Istria, and a wedding wreath made of colorful ribbons worn by Mutvoran brides. Find out which legend is connected with the creation of Mutvoran and many other interesting facts during a pleasant walk lasting approximately 45 minutes. The event is organized by TZO Marčana in cooperation with the Istrian Development and Tourism Agency, KUD Mate Balota from Rakalj, the Parish Office of Krnica and the Municipality of Marčana. Parking for visitors is provided at the entrance to the settlement, next to the cemetery.

Inspired by the tradition of cycling on the territory of Loborika, the day will begin with a gathering of cyclists in front of the Bicycling House in Loborika (across from the butcher’s shop), from 9 to 10 am. At 10 am a non-competitive recreational bike ride starts for all cycling and healthy living lovers who want to get to know our area better. The trail, 10.30 km long, with an elevation from 93 to 133 m, is not demanding, and offers interesting views of Loborika – a small place of great cyclists. The path starts in front of the Cycling House and turns left, descends 300 m along the main road and immediately turns onto the white road and along the water supply route (through the chestnut forest) comes to the white road that leads further towards Y highway. We+ll drive along this road for 2 km and then turn to the road of the Roman centurions and drive back to the center of Loborika. It’s a circular path, suitable for all ages, that can be completed in about an hour.

Waiting for the Saint of Svetica, the traditional religious celebration of the Virgin Mary, the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you to the Opera Carmen performance this Thursday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Grubić Court in Rakalj. The famous Opera title by Georges Bizet will be performed by the singers of the Opera Studio of the Academy of Arts and Culture from Osijek. The Opera Studio is a musical workshop of Opera singing, which aims to intensively acquire knowledge and skills of vocal art in young singers. Through individual work with the head of the workshop, associate professor Berislav Jerković, the participants perfected their vocal abilities in Grožnjan, through technical work on the operatic literature of the opera Carmen, which they will present to the audience in Rakalj.
The concert is organized by TZO Marčana in cooperation with the International Cultural Center of Croatian Musical Youth and the Municipality of Marčana, with the technical support of the museum-gallery space Grubić and the logistics of DVD Marčana.

The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you to the concert of the guitarist ensemble “CUERDAS” this Thursday, August 24 at 9 p.m. The concert will take place in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rakalj. An ensemble of eight guitarists will perform, and Damir Bedrina, professor of church music and musical singing, head of the regional music school Aicha vorm Wald in the Music School of the County of Passau, will perform several songs with the ensemble.
The ensemble “CUERDAS” combines the passion for the guitarist and the desire and joy in researching different musical styles and their presentation and performance to the audience. This year, they are visiting Croatia for the first time, in Istria with concerts in Vrsar and Rakalj. The original composition of the ensemble consists of 12 members, who on the one hand know each other from the time they studied together at various Austrian universities, and on the other hand through teaching activities at various music institutions.

The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you to an evening of laughter with the hit play “Za kulturu pronti” by Teather Naranča. The cultural comedy Scene 15+ will take place on Tuesday, August 15, starting at 8:30 p.m. at school playground in Krnica.
The story takes place in Cunculići, where the newly elected mayor and his colleagues want to put the small, picturesque Istrian village on the cultural map of Europe. The best and fastest way to do this is to apply for the European Capital of Culture in 2025. Barba Tone from “Nemojte ča zamiriti” Bar, Baba Fuma and the rest of the local population will thus face an onslaught of art of all kinds and forms in the village where culture has been until now: balun, mih, roženica and Sunday market of tools. You will find out on Tuesday in Krnica whether the program of the new head of culture from Cunculići will satisfy the members of the European Commission, and whether the flag of European culture will fly in Cunculići.

A good combination of gastronomic pleasure and sports socializing in Marčana
This year’s edition of the gastronomic events “Marčansko šugo” and “1. Marčana Open” will be held on Monday, August 14, at school soccer field in Marčana, starting at 5 p.m. The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites visitors to a good combination of gastronomic pleasure and sports. Serđo Valić and Duo Magnolia will provide the musical atmosphere from 8:30 p.m. until late at night.
The traditional gastronomic event “Marčansko šugo” attracts many guests every year to taste šugo and palenta. The participation of as many as 14 cooking teams has been announced, and they will show their skills in just a few hours of preparation. These are enthusiastic cooks, amateurs, lovers of delicious food and socializing.
“1. Marčana Open” Beach Volleyball tournament starts at 5 p.m. The final matches are scheduled for 1 hour after midnight. 12 teams are registered for the tournament, and the game is played according to the system that there should be at least one female person in the team. The interesting names of the registered teams are: Žbrufador, Epic Brozo, Sikurit, Mistral, Fairytale, Kiseli Krastavci, To je To, Gepardi, Laganica, Lunar Studio, Unknown and Kako ćemo se zvati. The best in the tournament are waiting for rich prizes from sponsors. The tournament attracts many athletes, spectators and volleyball enthusiasts. The sport itself is very attractive and spreads positive energy among athletes and tournament visitors. Sports events promote playing sports among young people, fair play and a healthy life.

This Weekend in Grubić court in Rakalj, as part of the 12th Festival on the Stone of Rakalj Screening of the film HOTEL PULA – August 13 at 9 p.m
On Sunday, at the same location, there is a screening of the film HOTEL PULA, the film that opened this year’s 70th Pula Film Festival and is currently being shown throughout the region. U RAKLJANSKEN LONCU & RAKALJ U SRCU
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana announces the traditional gastronomic event “U Rakljansken loncu” and the 29th folklore fair “Rakalj u srcu” for this Saturday, August 5. The event will be held at the soccer field in Rakalj, starting at 6 p.m., when five culinary teams will start preparing and cooking five types of maneštra (istrian soup from corn, fennel, cabbage, spring and pasta-beans) in Rakljan’s pots. The teams of Art Studio from Pula, Mendula from Vrsar, DVD Marčana, Bočari from Rakalj and Red Cross Pula are competing for the best maneštra.
At 8:30 p.m., there will be a revue folklore show of groups KUD Izvor from Generalski Stol, City Society Sokol from Buzet, and the host of the meeting, KUD Mate Balota from Rakalj. At the end of the review, the three best maneštras will be announced and awarded according to the evaluation of the expert jury composed of Cvitko Brgić, Dušan Percan and Marin Valić. Visitors will be entertained from start to finish by Serđo Valić and Duo Magnolija with a special music program, and there will also be a catering offer of Istrian dishes such as prosciutto and cheese, mussels and home-made fuži pasta with truffles. Local artisans and family farms will exhibit their domestic products (olive oil, wine, medicinal herbs) as well as handmade souvenirs (pots, kažuni, dolls in traditional costumes) and natural cosmetics.
With the aim of valorizing the tradition of pottery, Marčana Tourist Board will, thanks to the locals, exhibit several examples of the Rakljan pot. Throughout history, Rakalj is known for potters who made pots themselves by mixing soil – clay and quartz stone, “rotten” and “salty”. Rakljan potters crushed the salt and then mixed it with rot (clay) and in this way shaped the pots by hand, which they baked to make them resistant to high temperatures. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, great poverty reigned in Istria, and trade was conducted according to the saying “Peace at peace, at peace” – which in today’s modern times would mean “Clean accounts, long love”. Thus, the inhabitants of Raklje would sell pots in Istria in such a way that the pot would be filled to the brim with corn, wheat and other foodstuffs, the potters would exchange the pot for food that would fit in the pot, and in return the farmers and households would receive that very pot, which they would fill with their groceries.

FILIPANSKA NOĆ - FILIPANA NIGHT
On Saturday, August 5th, at 8 p.m., come to Filipana Night – folk festival. The 3M Band will play on the square in Filipana, and there will be beans and barbecue. In case of rain, the fest will be held in the Filipana Community Center.
The folk festival is organized by Marčana Tourist Board in cooperation with Mandalena d.o.o. and local people of Filipana.

USIDRI SE ZA RIŠPET 2023
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana is happy to announce the klapa Rišpet concert in Luka Bay in Rakalj, this Sunday, August 6, at 8:30 p.m.
Anchoring for Rišpet is already a well-known event that attracts a large number of klapa song lovers every year. The special feature of this concert, apart from the beautiful location of the Luka bay, is that the performers sing from the ship, so the concert is followed from sea and land. In the wake of previous successes, a musical spectacle is expected again this year – a revue of the most beautiful klapa songs, a singing audience on boats, vultures and along the coast.
Klapa Rišpet has been operating since 2011, it was founded by the famous Split composer Pero Kozomara, and they are always happy to return to Luka bay, already for the seventh time. So far, they have recorded three albums called “Kad je pošla ća”, “Reći ćes mi fala” and “Šta mi ljube oćes kazat”. They are the winners of numerous awards, some of which include the Grand Prix of the Split Festival in 2013 with the song “Ćaća” and four Cesarica awards in the Hit of the Year category of klapa music for the songs “Reći ćeš mi fala” in 2017, “Šta mi ljube oćes kazat” ” in 2018, “Kad ljubav dvije duše spoji” in 2019 and “Maka, maka” in 2020. They collaborated with Miša Kovač, Jelena Rozga, Doris Dragović, Joško Čagalj Jole, Fran Perišin and Duško Ćurlić. It is difficult to single out the most famous of all the very well-known songs of theirs, such as “Prsti zapleteni”, “Mislin samo na te”, “Sunce mi od tebe dolazi”, “Projdi mojon kalon” and “Kad ljubav dvije duše spoji”…
For safety reasons, in order to prevent congestion on the road to Stari Rakalj, wardens will direct traffic and vehicles towards the parking lot. Visitors are asked to arrive at the location early enough, both by boat and by land. The concert is organized by Marčana Tourist Board and DVD Marčana.

The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana invites you to the opening of the exhibition “Rakljanski umjetnici na jenen mistu – Rakljan`s artists at once” this Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 9 p.m.
Kristina Valić, Marija Valić – Mima and Mario Hauser will present their works together in the atrium of the Tourist Information Center in Krnica.
Kristina Valić is a self-taught artist from Rakalj. Ever since she was little, she was always drawing something and was perfectly happy when she only had a blank piece of paper in front of her, and that is still the case today. She deals with different types of art: she paints, makes sculptures in clay and makes jewelry. At this exhibition, she will present various oils on canvas with Istrian motifs of olives, stone walls, churches and sea. Before she started painting seriously in 1998, Kristina worked in fashion design. She likes to express herself in different ways. The subjects of her paintings are, in addition to landscapes, portraits of faces, flowers, angels, the sky and abstractions.
In her spare time, Marija Valić-Mima operates creatively in the Art Studio from Pula under the guidance of mentor Igor Fabris, where she makes useful and decorative ceramic objects in different techniques, and will present them at the exhibition in Krnica. Marija lives and works in Pula, with a strong presence of the influence of Rakalj and Rakalj tradition, from where she proudly points out her origin and draws inspiration and muse. By profession, she is a lawyer who practices her profession in a domestic financial institution. She is open-minded, a lover of nature and an active lifestyle.
Mario Hauser was born in Pula, and has been working and living in Rakalj since retirement. He is an electrician by profession, for some time he expressed himself with oil on canvas and graphics on glass. Around 15 years ago, he accidentally came into contact with the technique of making mosaics, and since then he has devoted himself entirely to making useful objects, such as paintings, mirrors, tables, and small benches decorated with mosaics. He mostly works for his own taste, but ofthen he also makes mosaic in scriptions on order, he likes Roman motifs and the ornament of braids and meanders. He started doing mosaics more seriously when he moved to Rakalj. He does everything himself in his home workshop: he bakes two types of cubes in a small oven; from white, black and red clay, earth-colored ones, and by adding various pigments of other colors (blue, green, yellow, etc.) to white cement, he obtains cubes of those colors, dries them and breaks them with hand pliers.
The group exhibition includes the works of three authors in one place in order to present them to the local community and numerous guests, hence the name ” Rakljanski umjetnici na jenen mistu – Rakljan artists at once”. The exhibition will be on display for a full month and can be viewed from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 11 am and from 6 pm to 9 pm. In addition to encouraging local creativity and art, TZO Marčani’s desire is to offer primarily autochthonous content, a local, sustainable story and hand-made souvenirs through the exhibition. SVA KUNTRADA SKUPA / ALL VILLAGES TOGETHER – July 15, traditional folk fest in Divšići
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana announces the traditional folk fest “Sva kuntrada skupa”, which will be held this Saturday, July 15, at the school playground in Divšići. The music program starts at 8 pm with the performance of Alfa Time band and the repertoire includes domestic and foreign pop hits, as well as their original, very popular song “Biska” in Istrian melos. At 10 pm the party continues with Šajeta and his hits „Party za ekipu”, “Košulja plava”, “Evergrin”, “Moji koraki”, “Leteća Barbara”and others.
The event is organized by Marčana Tourist Board in cooperation with the utility company Mandalena d.o.o. and BK Divšići. Parking for visitors will be provided in the school yard and along the access roads.

PETROVA – June 29, traditional folk festival in Marcana
The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Marčana announces Petrova – a traditional entertainment event, marking the feast of St. Peter, which will be held on Thursday, June 29 at the square in Marčana. The music program starts at 8 pm with the performance of the Alfa Time Band, and the repertoire includes domestic and foreign pop hits. At 10 p.m. Učiteljice, a Croatian-Slovenian female band consisting of Andrea Paškvan (lead vocalist), Silvie Ivić (tambourine and backing vocals) and Ana Vurcer (violin and backing vocals) take the stage. The band was born out of a competition for a new female band by big regional producers and songwriters Dušan Bačić and Bojan Dragojević. Since 2014, the teachers have achieved notable success with regional performances and listening to songs such as “Nema Natrag” (with Jasmin Stavros), “Nights in Brazil” (with Neda Ukraden), “Crazy House”, as well as the latest hit “Usne ko grožđe”.
The event is organized by TZO Marčana in cooperation with the communal company Mandalena d.o.o., NK Marčana and DVD Marčana. Parking for visitors is provided in the meadow near the Kalić pond and along the access roads to the center of Marčana.
